Because only the tips are heated, the rest of each tooth keeps its cutting quality and its flexibility. Induction-hardened teeth last three times longer than untreated teeth. They cannot be sharpened and are recognisable by their blackened tips. \u003cbr\u003e The Gomboy 240-10 saw has 10 teeth per 30 mm, the most versatile tooth pattern, suited to green wood and hardwood.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe handle of the Gomboy saw is comfortable; made of rubber, it gives a good grip and absorbs vibration.\u003cbr\u003e A hole in the handle lets you attach it to a cord or a carabiner.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTo stow the saw, the Gomboy blade folds into the handle (the teeth are then protected) and then slips into its case. \u003cbr\u003e The saw unfolds easily by pulling on the blade. You can lock the blade in two different cutting positions - very handy.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWorth noting: the Gomboy 240-10 comes in a clear rigid case with a belt loop\/clip. That clip can come undone unexpectedly and does not seem dependable to us for use on the move.\u003cbr\u003e It is fine when you are working in one defined area, or it should be treated as a storage case.\u003cbr\u003e Personally I prefer to take only the saw and leave the case at home.
