Wide radius double-edged hook, for bowls and containers. Swedish carbon steel.

Description

The story of Mora knives began over 100 years ago in the village of Ostnor in Sweden, not far from Mora, a town known for the quality of its blades. Erik Frost, a cutler and blacksmith, founded his company and his "Mora" knives were quickly adopted and valued by the Swedes, then abroad. Blades with a faultless edge and impressive toughness are behind that success.

The Mora 163 Hook Knife is perfect for everything you make and carve in wood, particularly for making spoons, bowls or plates.

The curved blade lets you hollow into wood easily. It is stainless steel with a double edge (sharpened on both sides of the blade).
The internal diameter is around 50 mm.The handle is birch with an oil finish.

It is the least curved model in the Mora range. The 163 Hook Knife is the one to add alongside a 164 or a 162. With its larger diameter you hollow less deeply and remove a little more wood, but you can work gentler curves, such as the rim of a plate or a large spoon...
The Mora 163 Double-Edged Hook Knife is the perfect tool for everything you make at camp or at home.
