Every Frost River bag is made from traditional materials

(waxed cotton - 500 g/m² - and leather) with one aim above all: to give you a bag that will be with you for decades. Largely inspired by the canoe packs used by 19th-century adventurers and explorers in North America, Frost River bags are built for hard environments and to last a lifetime.

All the bags are handmade in Frost River's workshops in Minnesota, in the United States.
Worth noting: some pieces may show slight purely cosmetic flaws. Every bag has passed Frost River's quality control before being shipped, which guarantees the quality and the longevity of the product. These bags are made for adventure and Frost River guarantees them for life!
The Summit Expedition is a small-capacity pack (around 30 L) designed for day trips in the woods or for short hikes.
One main compartment with a drawcord at the top to close it properly and secure the contents.
A lid with a zipped pocket inside for your small items, plus 4 leather keepers on top for attaching extra kit with straps: a blanket, a jacket... (Bed Roll Straps available as an option).
And three large outside pockets to keep within reach the gear you may need on your outing: water bottle, hat, gloves, poncho...
The two side pockets have a flap closed by a leather strap. The tops of the two pockets are not stitched to the pack, so you can carry longer items (between the side pocket and the pack): an axe, a bucksaw... A system typical of Frost River packs whose usefulness needs no further proof.
The front pocket closes with a zip.

Fairly close to the Nessmuk Pack, the Summit Expedition is ideal for day walks and will particularly delight wildlife watchers and anyone keen on plants or minerals, thanks to the way it is arranged.
The three pockets are perfect for organising your gear: binoculars, field guides, a water bottle, a small survival kit or first-aid kit...
