The Gransfors Bruk Small Forest Axe has a larger head and a longer handle than the Wildlife Hatchet, and so gives more power for felling or splitting. Even so, this axe stays compact enough to fit in a backpack.
It is perfectly suited to jobs at camp and to preparing firewood. A very versatile model.

The hickory handle feels good and firm in the hand. The pronounced swell at the end is particularly welcome.

The edge is convex and then widens gently. A profile that helps the head enter the wood and stays effective for splitting
