The Hultafors Aby Forest Axe is the brand's all-rounder.
A hybrid between the Qvarfot Felling Axe and the Stalberg Carpenter Axe, effective for felling, for carving or for splitting.
The shape of the head is inspired by carpenter's axes; the notch under the head lets you place your hand below the centre of the edge. Very handy for carving, flattening, debarking...
With its 60 cm handle and 700 g head, the Aby Forest Axe is both manageable and powerful.
Supplied with a leather sheath.
The carbon steel head is hammered between 40 and 60 times during forging to increase its density and so its longevity. As-forged finish. Straight and convex edge, sharpened and polished, ready to use.
Hickory handle treated with linseed oil.
