Hiker Pro

The Katadyn Hiker Pro water filter is now a benchmark in the outdoor world.

Compact, light and very easy to use, it has become a must for hikers and travellers.

The filter is pleated glass fibre (0.2 microns) with an anti-clogging membrane and built-in activated carbon. It removes bacteria, protozoa (cysts, amoebae...), algae, spores and sediment.
Thanks to the carbon it reduces odours and improves the taste of the water.

Its clear housing lets you watch the filtration process.

Supplied in a pouch with:
- A weighted pre-filter for the end of the intake hose - a kind of strainer that stops large particles (over 130 microns) getting into the system.
- A foam float that slides along the hose so you can hold the pre-filter below the surface, to avoid drawing water from the very top or right off the bottom.
- Two hoses
- A bottle adapter
- A cleaning pad and lubricant

The Hiker Pro filter is recommended for clear water that is occasionally cloudy. You will mainly use it in a lake, a river or a stream. Ideal for trekking and excursions.
For long trips or frequent use, we recommend the Pocket or Combi ceramic filters.
