Hook Knife 164 Right-handed
Right-handed hook knife, ideal for carving spoons and bowls. Carbon steel, birch handle.
Description
The story of Mora knives began over 100 years ago in the village of Ostnor in Sweden, not far from Mora, a town known for the quality of its blades. Erik Frost, a cutler and blacksmith, founded his company and his "Mora" knives were quickly adopted and valued by the Swedes, then abroad. Blades with a faultless edge and impressive toughness are behind that success.
The Mora 164 Hook Knife is perfect for everything you make and carve in wood, particularly for making spoons, bowls or kuksa (wooden cups).
The blade of the 164 Hook Knife has a 25 mm internal diameter, the smallest in the Mora range. That lets you hollow deeper into the wood.
It is stainless steel with the edge on one side only, for right-handers. The top of the blade is not sharpened so you can push on it.
The 164 Right-Handed Hook Knife is available with a leather protective sheath: 164 Right-Handed Hook Knife with Sheath
Also available for left-handers with or without a sheath: 164 Left-Handed Hook Knife or 164 Left-Handed Hook Knife with Sheath
The Mora 164 Hook Knife is the perfect tool for starting out in carving!
