Wood Stove Funnel

Origin Outdoors offers a very effective double-wall wood stove: the Wood Stove Funnel.

Because of its double-wall construction, part of the air coming in at the base of the stove feeds the first burn, at the bottom of the firebox. Another part of the air travels between the two walls and is released at the top of the firebox, creating the secondary burn (when the heated air meets the gases given off by the wood).
This principle increases efficiency, because the secondary burn happens at the top of the stove and therefore closer to the pot.

The Wood Stove Funnel is easy to get going. A few twigs and dead leaves are enough.
Once it is running, you just feed it regularly to keep good flames going.
Very little wood will be needed to cook your meal.

The pot support stows inside the firebox for transport. That still leaves a little room inside to store a small fire-lighting kit (firelighter, ferro rod, matches...).
Supplied in its mesh carry bag.

If you find yourself unable to make a fire (a ban, risky conditions...), the Wood Stove Funnel can be used with an alcohol burner such as the Trangia or Tatonka.
