With a capacity of 30 litres, the Jaakari M is the development of an older model in the Savotta range: the Light Border Patrol, originally designed for the Finnish border guard.

The Savotta Jaakari M is made from Cordura® 1000D, an ultra-tough material. It is built to resist wear, abrasion and hard weather.
Water-repellent treatment to protect your kit from the elements.

With a base capacity of 30 litres, the volume of the Jaakari M is easy to increase.
Thanks to its MOLLE-compatible webbing across the whole pack, you can add pouches or attach bulky kit such as a sleeping mat or a tent.
And also thanks to an extension above the main compartment and the option of raising the lid on adjustable straps. That adjustable lid also lets you carry bulky gear between the main compartment and the lid.

The padded back and ergonomic shoulder straps give an even spread of weight and genuine carrying comfort. The back is stiffened by a thin removable plastic sheet.
A sternum strap, a hip belt and compression straps let you set it up precisely for your build and your load.
As part of its border guard heritage, the shoulder straps, the belt and the back padding are designed to carry more weight comfortably than most packs of this size.

Inside the main compartment the pack has a pocket for a hydration bladder with a tube port on either side.

A large zip on the right side of the pack gives easy access to the main compartment.
Two small side pockets at the bottom of the pack for a water bottle, an axe, a tripod...

We particularly like the slim build of the Jaakari M, which gives unhindered movement and lets you slip through difficult ground, especially in forest.
