Depending on the trip in mind, and to cut down your load, you will not always take both an axe and a saw. The Pocket Saw is then a very interesting option. It packs into a small pouch and slips into your trouser pocket or your backpack without your noticing.
But make no mistake, this is not a gimmick. Fitted with a chainsaw chain and two webbing handles, the Pocket Saw cuts, and cuts very well indeed!

A saw with a chainsaw chain, but no engine - your muscles take its place.
The eleven cutting teeth sit every three links and face both ways. So you saw in both directions, forwards and back.

Naturally, the chain will dull over time. You can then sharpen it with a round chainsaw file.

A handy 1000D Cordura pouch is included for carrying, to keep the saw clean and tidy and to protect the rest of your kit from the sharp teeth.
