Alcohol Burner

The Tatonka burner is made from stainless steel. It is made up of the container and a lid with a sealing gasket.

Take care: despite the gasket this burner is not necessarily 100% airtight. You can leave alcohol inside it for a short while, and if you have to carry it like that you should close it properly, put it in a strong pocket and wedge it as well as you can so it stays horizontal.

It has a slightly larger capacity than the Trangia Burner (120 ml).

You can add a second lid that lets you adjust the flame and put it out. This Flame Adjuster lid is sold separately.

We strongly recommend using a windshield, which improves the stove's performance enormously.

A small alcohol stove like this is an ideal companion to wood stoves such as the Kuenzi or Vargo. In certain conditions you will not be able to use wood as fuel (national parks, strong wind or heavy rain), and then the alcohol stove is a welcome alternative.
