Tentipi is a Swedish company specialising in making nordic tipis (also called kata or lavvu).

The advantages of a tipi are many: a conical shape that stands up very well to strong winds and bad weather, very quick pitching, the option of having a fire or using a stove inside, an unbeatable space-to-weight-to-packed-size ratio...
All of which makes the tipi the shelter of choice for anyone with a nomadic streak, anyone who wants to feel closer to nature on their trips.

Tentipi nordic tipis were designed on the basis of the traditional Sami lavvu. A design proven in Lapland over centuries.
The lavvu is flatter than a Native American tipi, lower and less vertical, which gives it excellent stability and very good resistance to strong winds.
Tentipi has kept that geometry and added modern materials and current construction techniques.

The Zirkon cp models are Tentipi's mid range. One of the best compromises between quality, features and versatility.
Nordic tipis made for every adventure in the open air. Nothing stops you pitching one in your garden, of course, for the children, as a spare room or for a party.

The Zirkon 9 cp nordic tipi is made from Cotpolmex C polycotton (cp), a very tough and highly breathable cotton/polyester fabric.
This is a lower polycotton grade than the one used for the top-of-the-range Safir cp (Cotpolmex P), but it is of course still very good quality - it is a Tentipi! An interesting alternative to the Safir at a more affordable price.
A polycotton fabric is far more durable and weatherproof than people think. It will be ten times more UV resistant than a conventional lightweight tent fabric (nylon or polyester), whatever the brand.
The cotton content brings very welcome temperature regulation: warm in winter and cool in summer.
And the beige colour creates a warm, cosy atmosphere.

Interior height lets you stand up.

A large air intake protected from rain and fitted with mosquito netting. It sits at the bottom of the tent to optimise air flow and ensure good ventilation when you have a fire inside (or the stove).

Improved top cap opening with the In-Tent Vent™ system: you can adjust the cap opening with cords from inside your tent. You can open it through 360° or on one side only. Very easy to adjust.
