Pre-heating for Burner

The Trangia Burner works at practically any temperature. That said, the heat output of an alcohol stove falls as the temperature drops. To avoid this it is recommended, particularly at temperatures below 0°C, to use the Trangia Burner Preheater.

Pour a little alcohol into the centre of the dish to soak the fibre in it. Then place the burner on the dish (it clips on easily for more stability). You can then light the alcohol in the dish. That warms the alcohol held in the burner, which helps it light and gives a better output.

In the end, thanks to the Burner Preheater you save alcohol in very cold weather, because for the same result you would have burnt a great deal more alcohol in the burner.
